One “Horrific” Collection for the First Time
10-Disc Set Includes 7 Blu-ray Debuts,

Burbank, Calif., June 11, 2013 – On September 13th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will provide plenty of blood-curdling thrills when Friday The 13th: The Complete Collection debuts on Blu-ray™. For the first time, all twelve Friday the 13th films will be packaged together, (with seven of them making Blu-ray debuts) as a result of a strategic distribution alliance between Paramount and Warner announced last fall, granting Warner exclusive video distribution rights to over 600 Paramount titles. The set also includes a Friday The 13th Killer Extras Bonus DVD.

This intense ‘slasher’ series is one of the longest-running and most successful horror franchises in film history, surpassing the domestic theatrical box-office grosses of such legendary series as A Nightmare on Elm Street,Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The film that turned psycho killer Jason Voorhees and his infamous hockey mask into a pop culture icon has also bested the horror competition as the #1 home entertainment seller, with total sales of $119.7M to date.

The 10-disc collection ($129.95 SRP) includes the twelve films on nine Blu-ray discs, as well as a killer DVD bonus disc full of special features on the making of the famous franchise. The must-own set will be presented in a collectible tin case with 11 hours of previously released special features and a 40-page soft cover book. The book is excerpted from Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday The 13th, a fan-favorite volume that’s viewed as the ultimate memoir of the series, and highlights some of the 200 interviews, 600 photos, storyboards, concept art and more. Also included is a brand new, official Camp Crystal Lake embroidered Counselor Patch.

Friday The 13th: The Complete Collection also includes digital versions of all 12 films with UltraViolet™, allowing viewers to download and instantly stream the films to a wide range of devices from computers and compatible tablets to smartphones, game consoles, Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players.

One of the most frightening franchises in film history, Friday The 13th focuses primarily on the character of Jason Voorhees, who drowned as a young child at Camp Crystal Lake due to the inattentiveness of camp counselors. Many years later, the camp becomes the scene of a number of murders – all of which are either committed or motivated by the avenging Jason, who forever lurks at Crystal Lake with his finely-honed machete.

Films in the Collection include:
· Disc 1 - Friday the 13th (1980)
· Disc 2 - Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
· Disc 3 - Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D (1982)
· Disc 4 - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) NEW TO BLU-RAY
· Disc 5 - Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985) / Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986) NEW TO BLU-RAY

I might be accused of having low standards but I'm pretty sure this is the greatest thing to happen in human history.

So...will Disc 3 be an actual 3D Blu-ray or just a repackaging of the anaglyph presentation already available?
Since they're not touting it as being new in some way and the first three are still on separate discs, I'd guess it's just the existing disc.

I'd be interested in this if Part 3 was in proper blu ray 3D but only when Amazon heavily discount it in one of their Black Friday sales deals, i have a dream that one day they will put their restoration team to work and re-incorporate some of the deleted gore scenes, for me these films suffered much censorship cuts back in the eighties, nowadays films with an R rating get away with so much more, i know it is unlikely they will ever spend money putting the cut scenes back in and there would likely be audio issues if they tried but i can dream.

Is Jason Goes To Hell the unrated cut, it better be or they are making a huge mistake.

The first film should be the uncut international version right? and didn't part 4 get an uncut version on DVD too? I don't care about the 3D, but if this set is all remastered and uncut, I'm in for sure.

The horror films just keep rolling in this year, agree with others that if part three is not true 3D then this is a missed opportunity; also planning on getting this set and removing Freddy Vs. Jason, and replacing it with the Crystal Lake Memories doc that is coming this year, already have the Nightmare set so that film is the bridge and doesn’t belong in either set IMO.

The only F13 movies that have ever been released uncut are the first one, Jason Goes To Hell and the remake. I think it's safe to assume that the original and remake will both be the uncut versions since they're almost definitely the same discs again. JGTH could be the theatrical cut especially since the uncut version dates back to the VHS days so who knows what version they have in HD.

The DVDs of Parts VI and VII had uncut footage as a bonus but not integrated back into the movie.

Thanks for the heads up Travis. I've only bought the first boxset that came out on DVD that had the original cut of the first film (I think). Provided they don;t screw up the transfers, this will be a good upgrade.

Are there no new extras???? I do wonder if the commentary for part 3 is going to be included since it was left off the last couple releases. I've also heard word around the campfire of some new 5+ hour documentary on the series. With that said, if there's nothing new to be added then I'm going to struggle to upgrade the previous boxset that I just bought about a year or so ago.

http://www.crystallakememories.net/ I'm just happy to get the rest of the series in HD but for F13 fans who don't care about that, I'd say to skip this set and go straight for the documentary. It's from same people that did the Nightmare On Elm Street documentary a few years ago and if it's half as good as the NOES one, it'll be great.

Thanks Travis. I guess the big question is whether or not they managed to torture Kevin Bacon into admitting he's in the first film.

He talked about his role in the film on Jay Leno this week. He called the film a "horror classic."
Thanks. I hadn't heard about this but now I really do fear that the end might be near.

I think I'll pass on this set as I've simply bought them way too many times but I do look forward to the documentary.

The only thing that would get me to upgrade is if part 3 is in real 3D instead of anaglyphic. But I fully expect Warner to re-use the old discs. Would love to be surprised, though.
