The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer:All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from theirprinted Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by eachchain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the websiteprice.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week inthe RoundUp.The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well asthose which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers(and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don'tcomplain! If there is a title not includedin the RoundUp that youwant to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough topost and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp.They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, sothere is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR localWal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still outof business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their pricesanyway).

I have Vegas Vacation coming on Tuesday from Amazon (plan on watching Tuesday night, too). And Lego Batman is in the Netflix queue. With all the recent Disney announcements, slow weeks like this are going to be super important...

I'll take a gamble on the Last Stand for $14.99. WB will eventually release a three disc set of the Vacation films (if they follow the usual pattern) so I will wait to pick that up then.

Thanks Mike!

Pretty big week for me. I'll pick up The Burning, The Town That Dreaded Sundown and True Blood: Season Five.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

If you're an Arnold fan, I'd be surprised if you weren't entertained by this movie. It's alot of fun to see him doing action again.

Criterion is a little late sending the review copies for their final two releases for the month, but I expect them at some point this week, and I thought Cleopatra was coming this week, but I don't see it in the list.

Looking forward to the Gangster Collection (classics) which I've had preordered for some time.

Thanks for the RoundUp!

Thanks for the roundup. BOY am I glad I'm a Disney Movie Club member. I don't order real often but I did preorder for June 11th OZ & Atlants (which were the selection of the month) + Wings of Life which I got for $14.98 & Howl's Moving Castle + My Neighbor Totoro (for $11.98 apiece). Howl & Totoro should arrive Monday or Tuesday & with the Ghibli's (like Wings of LIfe) not being in ads & having outrageous prices it looks like I made the right call & saved a bunch of money.

Lots of confusion with Cleo, Matt.

Near as I can tell, she'll be floating down the Nile next week.

When I saw Star Trek Into Darkness yesterday there was an ad for Cleopatra on the big screen this week (Wednesday and next Sunday). The picture was gorgeous, this is surely a 4K digital projection.

Thanks, Mike. If that's true, that's going to free up a lot of time for me this week.

For what it's worth, my local Best Buy just confirmed they're dumping blu-rays and DVDs for a Samsung section. Sigh. I guess the good news is they are trying to compete with Amazon online and usually match the prices and have free shipping now, no minimum. But a lot of good that will do us for the (probably not) next Upgrade & Save program.

No movies for sale inside the brick & mortar Best Buy stores?!? Really???

That's HUGE.................

I'm not sure what that would mean for the future of the Weekly RoundUp.

FWIW, the BB website is showing preorder prices for ST: Into Darkness of $22.99 DVD/ $29.99 BD, with free shipping and $8 off deals. OK, but not spectacular.

It's possible that if BB stops selling packaged media, I might never set foot in the store again. Sad.
Ditto. I went there a couple weeks ago looking for a HDMI cable adapter. Theirs was more than double the price I can pay online ($80 vs. $30). The only reason I usually ever go there is to browse the movies.

Again, I don't know if this is the plan for all Best Buys, but that's what's happening at my local store.

I just got an "Introducing the Samsung Experience Shop – only at Best Buy" email from BB. No mention of the media department going away.
