So, I pay $50 a year and I can download any of the 20 something games they have listed each month? No Limit to the number of games you can download?  They don't expire? I have a PS3

I think they don't expire as long as you maintain your PS+ account.

If I had enough time to play the games I already own, I'd probably join. As it is, I'm probably spending less than $50/ year on games anyway (not counting Skylanders and Infinity stuff). The last game I bought was CoD:MW2, which was something like $4.50 at GameStop.

Once you "buy" a FREE game on PS+, you can keep it and re-download it any time in the future so long as your PS+ subscription is active.  If you end your subscription then start it up again later, you will regain access to those games.

Anything bought at a discount on PS+ (there are a lot of sales where PS+ users gets extra discounts, versus the FREE games) can be kept forever without needing a PS+ account.

All stuff bought on PSN can be re-downloaded once you have the digital rights.

Also, you can often find PS+ subscription cards discounted online or packaged in deals with other things.  I think I renewed mine once because I got like $10 back or something.  You never have to pay full price for PS+ or even Xbox Live.

http://www.gamespot....e/1100-6418307/

PS3 games are getting rental options for 1, 7, and 30 day lengths.  The examples shown are in the $5-6 range for an unspecified amount of time, but the assumption seems to be 30 days.  This is probably what PS Now is going to do.

I think this is a genius idea.  I am actually totally fine with a game being something like $1 for a day, $2 for a week, $5 for a month, or $20 to own (since this is likely to be "older" PS3 games that are already around $20 on PSN).  It is probably the only way that I would seriously get into streaming games or digital games as a superior option to owning a disc.

We'll see. I'm willing to give Sony a little rope here given how awesome PSN and PSPlus have gotten.

Downloaded Metro. Upgrades for weapons was kind of boring but the rest of the game was fun.

Downloaded Tomb Raider last week, having a great time with it.

Not bad. Pay $50 and have one or two new games each month.

I wanted a PS Now beta invite but, ehh, oh well.

The PS Plus lineup looks decent compared to some other months but I already have any of those games that I would want.

Has anyone had an issue where psn doesn't seem to completely recognizing are an active psplus subscriber? It's been like this on ps4 since launch for me but now my ps3 is doing it too. It lets me get my discounts and free codes no problem but if I go to the page that is supposed to show the back catalog of free stuff it keeps prompting me to buy a new subscription, despite mine lasting till mid 2015. Strangely it seems to show my 1 year sub lasting 2 years, not sure if that is the cause but I doubled up when it was rumored that the price increase would hit so I paid in advance for Aaron second year...

Turns out that it's not my account that's screwed up, it's that they have made PS Plus shitty. All free games must be purchased in the month they are offered, there is no grabbing last 2-3 months any more like there was since the start. This REALLy blows for new subscribers but doesn't much affect me.No more purchasing the free vita games from your PS3. This is just dumb.

Do you mean they have to be downloaded the month they are free? Technically, I've purchased every free game offered for the vita, ps3 and ps4 despite only owning a ps3. Once they are "purchased" via going through the store as a free purchase, you should be able to download them anytime as long as your plus subscription is valid right?
