Over the last few months Ive been doing a lot of graphic design and in my spare time decided to make some minimalistic, re-interpretive posters of famous movies. Here are the three Ive completed so far:-

They were designed 9000 x 12000 pixels @300dpi. If anyone would like to know more please PM me.

More to come...

The actual print should look more like the pics below. Not sure why the above image looks a little washed out...

These are so awesome! Great job! I love the Jaws one and Taxi Driver. How long does it usually take you to design these? Do you use Illustrator?

Cheers!
Depends on the poster and the theme. Coming up with a workable idea is the hardest. I tend to work on a bit and move onto other things and come back again. If I had to guess, probably about 5-6 hours for each. I generally use Photoshop but have started using Illustrator (Dredd). The Dredd poster did take longer though.

These really are nice posters and I think I like Dredd the best, even though I haven't seen the movie.

I have a couple of suggestions for the Jaws poster, if I may be so bold (I know, everyone's a critic :) ). First, for the tagline, how about "They're going to need a bigger boat." and two, would it be more ominous if only the fin of the shark was exposed?

These are nice, but there is one thing that HAS to be fixed on the Jaws poster.

It is Steven Sp i e lberg, not Steven Sp e i lberg.

Good to see someone is taking a close look at the images! The sites that have this poster for sale David have the correct spelling, but I forgot to update my photobucket image (where these images are stored). Will do so this weekend!

I do have an alternate version where the tagline is "We're gonna need a bigger boat". I preferred the one used above as from memory it was used on many posters back when the movie was released. The idea for the fin is duly noted!

The Star Wars images I did above were basically a V1. This is a WIP image of where they were/are supposed to look, when finished.

The other ones got made as some people preferred the more minimalistic approach. Should be finished this one soon-ish.

I know some of you use your theatre spaces as your main music room, so you may like some of these music posters Ive done:-

Finally finished my Return of the Jedi poster. This completes my V1 of the original trilogy so I can now focus on V2 version of the posters (more like the WIP pics I posted a few weeks back).

For now, Return of the Jedi
