Jane Henson, one of the original muppeteers,  and wife to the late Jim Henson mother of his children passed away today after a long battle with Cancer.

Her work as a puppeteer and estate manager, as well as position on numerous boards will long be remembered; she hired many of the puppeteers that man Henson Co today, and was a key part in so many great productions that made up many of our childhoods.

She seldom performed after the birth of their second child.. save a few appearances here and there in the background on Sesame Street, but her early contributions to the staff and Sesame Street were critical.

Her last known .. and one of the rare vocal performances on Sesame Street is here: "Women Can Be"
