I watched Body Double today for the first time in at least 5 years and I had forgotten how much Brian DePalma lifted from his own movies for it. Nonetheless, I still enjoy the movie and it's a very nice disc.

I haven't watched it years, but I remember he borrowed from Dressed to Kill and Obsession.

He says himself it was inspired by the situation of doubling Angie Dickinson in the shower on Dressed to Kill.

It's also very obviously a mashup of elements of Vertigo and Rear Window.

I like DePalma's Hitchcock remixes since basically Hitchcock just as shamelessly stole from himself, so it's interesting to see plot elements from A and B mixed and seeing how they co-mingle. One of the reasons I love his films
