I was conversing with a home theater installer and he was telling me that each powered sub in my towers count. So, he was saying "technically" I have a 7.4 system. Was just wondering some of the guru's take on this?

Until you have separate actual signals going to each sub...It is still .1.

Yeah, I thought this much. I have 2 separate subs on a Marantz 5007.

There's a guy at another forum that uses his single LFE output split 4 ways into 4 amps. Each amp has 2 channels (8 channels total) and each channel powers two subs (16 subs). Even with all of that, it is still .1 since there is only one channel of LFE on the source material.
What is the WAF on 16 subs?
