BRUCE WILLIS RETURNS FOR THE FIFTH INSTALLMENT OF THE
LEGENDARY ACTION FRANCHISE

Featuring An Extended Edition with More than Two Hours of Explosive Extras, the Heart Pounding Thriller Arrives Just in Time for Father’s Day

Arriving on Digital HD™ on May 14 and Blu-ray and DVD June 4

LOS ANGELES, CA. (March 26, 2013) – Yippee Ki Yay, John McClane is back, this time with his son and twice the excitement. Keeping audiences on the edge of their seats for 25 years, the latest chapter of the popular action franchise delivers the thrills and the ultimate father-son action duo as A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD debuts on Digital HD on May 14 and on Blu-ray and DVD June 4 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Featuring a double dose of McClane power, the film will also be available as an “Extended Edition” with over two hours of extreme bonus material just in time for Father’s Day.

Bruce Willis is back in action — mind-blowing, heart-stopping, rip-roaring action — as John McClane, the heroic New York cop with a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. John’s latest predicament takes him all the way to Russia to track down his estranged son, Jack (Jai Courtney), who has been imprisoned in Moscow. But the mission takes a deadly turn as father and son must join forces to thwart a nuclear weapons heist that could trigger World War III!

Twenty-five years after the classic thriller Die Hard was released, A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD takes the action to a whole new level with the 2-disc Blu-ray Extended Edition featuring over two hours of intense extras. Between the Anatomy of a Car Chase, an hour long behind-the-scenes documentary that looks at the making of the movie, commentary with the Director and deleted scenes, the Blu-ray proves that two McClanes are better than one.

Given that the theatrical version runs 98m I'm curious how 'extended' this really is.

Perhaps an extended cut followed by a directors cut, maybe Fox want to milk the release, no idea and i guess we shall see, i read the director started work on the directors cut in February so this release should contain it.  Link below of an interview with the director where he talks about it a little.

P.S.  I wonder if they could change the system for editing posts and allow maybe fifteen minutes before the message shows up informing people you edited your post, i'd rather people didn't know i edited my post as i always read it after posting and then change it as i miss things out or misspell a word or forget a link to an article.

Off topic but what's the problem with someone knowing you edited your post?

Perhaps some people feel an edited post looks sinister as if something incriminating was censored. Maybe we can change "edited" to "refined" lol

I've seen 'heated' exchanges where there's an edit and I wonder what crazy, insulting or profanity laden post that person made before the edit.

In my case, probably 90% of my posts will be edited because I treat the initial post as a first draft and then go back and correct spelling errors, attempt to correct grammar as best as I can or clarify a point., etc.

I did some googling later in the day after my post and one report said the disc will contain both the theatrical and the extended cut. That makes sense, but I don't believe the press release mentions this at all.

The box art at the the top of the post says that it "includes both versions," though I don't know if that image is part of the press release or something that Ron added from another source.

But it also lists the descriptive audio track as being on the "theatrical cut only," suggesting that both versions are in fact included.

Not a problem as such but it just looks a bit amateurish to see all my posts displaying edited after them, i do edit a lot, usually because i made a mistake or want to add to the post, to correct spelling or i have missed a link or found a better one, allowing fifteen minutes or so after the post before the edit shows would be better, under the last software it took a while before edit showed up.

Ok there's the cover for the DVD.

Thanks?

Edited to add: just checking something.

Another edit: hmm

Third edit: I see a check box option called, "add the 'edit by' line in This post?"

This seems to remove the "edited by..." Line after a post is edited.
I unchecked the box and don't see the edited by comment, anyone else see my "edited by" comment?
