Have an HP dv6 I got last summer, works great.

Recently however, the touchpad has become incredibly sensitive. I can almost just blow on it and it activates, so I'm constantly opening pages I don't want, or the same page will open ten times. Just the slightest touch and it takes off on its own. I've gotten so used to it, I never use a mouse anymore and would prefer to keep it that way.

Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity so it's more normal?

You can do this in the Control Panel - what version of Windows are you running?
In windows 7, go to Hardware & Sound in the Control Panel, then click Mouse under Devices & Printers. You'll be able to change touchpad settings from there - incuding sensitivity.

Thanks for the advice Dave. You would think having worked with computers for almost 30 years Control Panel would have occurred to me, but we all space out about things once in a while.

Anyhow, things are fine now.

Thanks again.
