I'm still considering this DLP: http://cgi.ebay.com/...ME:B:SS:US:1123 He is down now to $500 and he will deliver it so I can see how it works before I buy it. He is maybe 40-50 miles away. It may or may not have a new bulb but a new bulb is not that expensive. If I buy this TV I would maybe get a new OEM manufacturer bulb to have on hand. Any reason to not buy this DLP now? He says it changes channels fairly quickly and I tend to believe him as he is offering to drive it to me to try it out before I buy it. I have read that DLP TV's are fairly long lasting TV's other than the bulb (maybe a fan at times). I do not care if it does not have 3D. I just want a TV that I can turn on and surf for things to watch. Thanks. Rodney

A DLP TV is essentially a big flashlight. You have "the board"(which every TV has), the power supply(which every TV has) and a bulb/housing/colorwheel. Three parts. One of them(if you count the colorwheel and bulb together) is a DIY fix job.

Mitsubishi WD-60735 60" 3D-Ready 1080p HD Rear-Projection Television So I'm guessing this TV is OK to buy. The price may be a bit high yet but I keep looking for a 60" and not many come up for sale locally and they sell fast when they do. Thanks Rodney
