The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you
want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).
The Specials
--This week's "big release" is Twilight Saga: Breaking Down...er, Breaking Wind...um, Breaking Dawn: Part 2. Please keep in mind this title will not be released until Saturday, March 2nd.
--Best Buy has EXCLUSIVE PACKAGING of the entire Twilight Saga (five films) on sale for $44.99.
--BB also has an EXCLUSIVE BLU-RAY COMBO PACK WITH COLLECTIBLE LOCKET KEY CHAIN of Breaking Dawn: Part 2 for the special price of $22.99 (a premium over their non-locket price of $19.99.
--We should also note that the first three Twilight films (available now) are available on Blu at Best Buy for $8.99 apiece.
--But wait! There's more. Best Buy has also laid claim to EXCLUSIVE WEARABLE SIDEBURNS with their DVD copies of Freaky Deaky. Anyone who still has their wearable multi-colored wigs from that Madagascar release from some time ago could wear those together and really have it going on. And maybe you could throw back some fancy Pantry Market water from Target and have quite a time of it...
--Best Buy has the following releases on sale this week:
$14.99: End of Watch (DVD), Death Race 3 (DVD).
$19.99: End of Watch (Blu), Death Race 3 (Blu), Weeds: Season 8 (Blu or DVD)
$39.99: Game of Thrones: Season 2 (DVD)
$44.99: Game of Thrones: Season 2 (Blu)
--Best Buy Odds and Ends: None to report.
--Target will have its own Breaking Ground...uh, Breaking Dawn: Part 2 EXCLUSIVES this week! To start: you can BE THE FIRST to get TS-BD:P2. Select Target stores will be open at 12:01am, Saturday, March 2. Visit Target.com/BreakingDawn for locations.

--At Target you will also be able to get EXCLUSIVE DVDs and Blu-rays of Breaking Dawn:Part 2. Besides the regular editions, you will be able to get EXCLUSIVE 3-disc DVD sets (for $16.99) and 2-disc Blu copies (for $22.99) which include bonus materials. Over 50 minutes of exclusive content that includes the cast discussing special vampire powers in "Tingles and Chills," the Volturi in "Judge, Jury and Executioner," and the new vampires in Carlisle's Contacts." Watch how Bella and Charlie's relationship evolved in "Being Charlie Swan" and feel the excitement from the 2012 Comic-Con and the world premiere with the cast and fans!

--And, Target is advertising as "Available Now" a limited edition 2-disc DVD gift set of Breaking Dawn: Part 1 with authentic prop flower keepsake from the film's wedding scenes and certificate of authenticity for $14.99. Really.

--Target is also advertising the first three Twilight films as being on sale for $7.99 apiece on DVD.

--And it's not enough that I have included this week's Barbie release in the RoundUp (an executive decision based on the fact that this marks the first-ever Barbie release on Blu-ray!). Oh no. Target has one-upped the excitement by advertising a FREE Barbie in the Pink Shoes doll ($6.99 value) when you buy the movie or lead doll (on sale for $17.99). Items packaged separately. Quantities limited. No rainchecks.

--Target Odds and Ends: None to report. But isn't there already enough to digest?

Nothing, at all. Nothing I even want to put off until later or put in my Netflix queue. I'm going to make up for it in March...

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike. I'm slated to review Chasing Mavericks this week, but the review disc has not yet arrived.

Damn! I should've picked up Game of Thrones at Amazon while it was 10 bucks cheaper! Forgot all about it!

Yeah, what up with that? You bought it before today, I'm guessing! Mike, I'm gonna guess you are not too fond of the Twilight Saga. I'm right there with you! Unfortunately, my wife is a big fan, so at some point, Breaking Bad Dawn will enter this house!

Criterion is having a 50% off in stock items flash sale until noon EST tomorrow. So you can get those two new releases today for $20 each, along with whatever else you need in stock. Orders over $50 get free shipping as well.

It'll be cheaper during the B&N 50% off sale.
Yep, in July. 5 months earlier gets a few extra dollars this round. That BN rush gets a little extreme with 8 months of releases to sift. The Man Who Knew Too Much got the Upgrade and Save for a decent price, now On the Waterfront, Sansho, and Two Lane Blacktop wont' have to wait until late summer.

Plus you can combine B&N coupons. I usually pay 17 or less depending on the coupon.

David: In answer to your question, if you hit the Barnes and Noble sale IN THE STORE, you can combine the 50% off with your 10% off B/N Card. Plus there's no shipping.
