The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you
want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).
The Specials
--There is a $5 coupon to use on the 3-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack of Peter Pan available HERE.
--BestBuy.com has two prices on new blu-ray releases that are lower than the prices listed in its Sunday flyer (the flyer prices are listed in the grid): Flight $19.99 and Peter Pan (2-disc CP) $22.99.
--Save $6 @ Best Buy when you buy BOTH the Diamond Edition Peter Pan Blu-ray AND any Disney Fairies Blu-ray.
--Best Buy has a unique promotion this week. Buy the Blu-ray of Here Comes the Boom anfd get a $10 Pay-Per-View Cash Offer. UFC 157 LIVE - Saturday February 23. Best Buy also has 30% off select UFC DVDs.
--Best Buy Odds and Ends: None to report.
--Target, this week, has an EXCLUSIVE STORYBOOK with its 2-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack of Peter Pan. A 32-page storybook. Quantities limited, no rainchecks.
--Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

Will Target have a regular 2-disc blu? I'm not interested in the digibook.
I second that. It is surprising to me that the digibook is the only retailer exclusive for a title of this stature, and I feel like in general the prices are about $2 to $3 too high. A few years ago, the 2-disc versions of the Diamond Editions would always be $19.99. The difference is that the coupons are now being applied exclusively to the version with digital copy included, but all that does is bring the cost of the digital copy version down to the same price as the 2-disc -- which is great if you want the digital copy, but I have no use for it. I'm surprised Best Buy didn't have their usual plush toys and/or preorder steelbook like usual. Just got email confirmation from Amazon that Flight is already on the way to me from them. I'll also get Cabaret Blu-ray at some point, but it's a lower priority than Flight and Peter Pan. Thanks for the Roundup, Mike.

Actually, it looks like I might have miscalculated. I have looked more closely at the ad. I believe the 32-page storybook is not part of the actual packaging...but a bonus add-on to the disc package.

I have Peter Pan 3 disc coming from Amazon, but 100% agreed with Jake. I completely expected retail price to be $19.99, as it has been for pretty much every release in the Diamond line. Amazon's $8 coupon gets me to the $19.99. It looks like Disney and/or retailers may be trying to wean us all off that lower price point.

Glad I pre-ordered months ago as well with the $8.00 "digital coupon" amazon offered. Hope to see the same for The Little Mermaid and other future releases. If you get in early enough with the digital coupon they tend to beat the "regular" editions in price - even if you don't want the digital copy.

I just got the review copy of The Ballad of Narayama yesterday, and since I'm finishing the last of the Fox title backlog today, I should have that review up tomorrow. Hope Laura's arrival will be more timely.

What a joke... Not a single Best Buy within 50 miles of me has any Disney Fairies Blu-Ray in stock, except Secret of the Wings, and that one is waaay over $6 overpriced.

Ditto. The minute there's an HTF Amazon link, I preorder for that reason. It certainly doesn't hurt in any way.

Just Flight for me. Via the HTF link! I'll get the Pan 3 disk if and when i can get it under $20.
That's what I was thinking too (about Peter Pan). I had missed the $8.00 off coupon on this one. That was a good deal and most know, it doesn't come around again. Thanks for posting the round up Mike! Really appreciate the time you put in.

Alternative: Toys R Us -- I think they have another run of their preorder cards up -- disc prices the same as BBY "$8 off a $19.99+ Disney Bluray/DVD with $5 deposit on Wreck It Ralph" plus you can use the $5 MQ I think there is some hope of at least another preorder or two beyond Wreck It to stack some of the discount.

I have not seen any $8 coupons (or ANY coupon for that matter) for either Mulan or Hunchback, either.
I'd pre-order right now if they existed.

You're right, Mike. There aren't coupons right now for the new wave of titles coming in March. (There weren't coupons when I preordered, either.)
