Status of WiiU games, what's coming, what's planned.. etc. it's mostly discussion until about the 18 minute mark, where you get to start seeing games. But there is a lot of news here: * Many Gamecube, SNES and WII titles will be upgraded to HD.. with one of the first being "Legend of Zelda: Wind Walker" (they show some of the stills) available in the fall * Titles that are ports from older systems will be upgraded with more Wii-U ready controls and better graphics, so if you already purchased them on the Wii, they will be discounted on the WiiU for upgraded versions ($1.00 and $1.50) * they show off several new titles We'll see how it all plays, but definitely a nice run through by the BigN. The Big titles they are promo'ing now are:

Basically, they're working on the games that you assumed they were making (a new 3D Mario, a new Zelda, a new Mario Kart, a new Smash Bros.), Virtual Console is coming to Wii U (with the features added to the 3DS VC being incorporated, like save states), and Wind Waker is getting an HD re-release. There's no mention of other GameCube games being ported to the Wii U. If you have a Virtual Console game on the Wii, you can get it for Wii U for only an additional $1 (for NES) or $1.50 (for SNES). They're adding GBA games to the VC. This brings up a couple questions, like what happens to the non-NES/SNES VC games that were on the Wii. Are those not being brought to the Wii U? Will they release more NES/SNES games for the Wii U VC than are on the Wii one? There's also zero info on the Mario/Zelda/Smash games except "you'll see more at E3." For the most part, you could have guessed exactly what this Nintendo Direct was going to be.
