Repeating myself from a prior thread... I am rather happy that these titles are being released individually, particularly for the offering of the 3D combo version. I hesitated to buy the trilogy over a year ago as I really only liked the first film. At this point, I don't even remember if the 2nd or 3rd film is even worth purchasing. I'll be going for the 3D release for certain (as it also has the 2D release), and will try to gauge whether any of the sequels (and which of the two) were any good.

We share exactly the same opinion.
I wouldn't exactly call the 3rd one "Good" on its own terms. It's 90 minutes of dinosaur fun without the obnoxious preachiness of "TLW", but still kind of "empty calories". However, compared to the abysmal "TLW" it's a masterpiece.

My two cents: The second one is Spielberg's worst movie and the third one is surprisingly good.

I held off on the Trilogy as well, however for different reasons. I just had a feeling that JP4 (in seemingly perpetual development) would come out. Now that JP4 is officially dated for next summer, I am thrilled to see this individual packages.

Next summer, does that mean 2014? Got any links with info about ut? I bought the trilogy (sale price) and I'm not going to try to convince anyone about how good each movie is, except to say each movie has the most realistic DINOSAURS I've ever seen on the screen. I've remained a kid when it comes to DINOSAURS so when movies like this come out with DINOSAURS, I gotta have 'em. I don't care for guys in suits dinosaurs, don't need those movies. But these DINOSAURS, gotta have 'em. Now there will be DINOSAURS in 3D. This is better than porn for a teenager. :)

I'm still glad I picked up the trilogy steelbook, and I enjoy all three films on different levels. All three have some great elements and set pieces, as well as some cringeworthy moments.

Good question Scott, as the trailer for JP13D looks like a newer transfer than the current Bluray. If a new transfer was used for the 2-D to 3-D conversion, one would think the 2-D re-issue would use that as well. But sadly, we can't simply assume that will be the case. My guess is JP2 and 3 will be the same transfers.

Yeah. I couldn't find where I originally heard about it, but a quick search lead me to this.

JP3D is most likely a test case for 3D in JP4 (as well as celebrating the 20th Anniversary).

Ditto. In the UK they've been almost giving this box away, the cheapest I've seen it is £7.50 (£2.50 a movie!).

Billy,
Thank you for bringing that to our attention.
Just checked Amazon.uk and the Region Free
Jurassic Park Trilogy is just over $14 before shipping.
That's kind of tough to pass up.
I may just pull the trigger on this and get the 3D version
in addition.
