Lawrence of Arabia is easily 2012's crowning moment in hi-def classics on Blu-ray. Few could ever touch Lean for storytelling on a grand scale. Lawrence is his immaculate masterwork. Sony's Blu-ray - which took forever to come out - I must say was well worth the wait. The transfer is flawless. The extras are comprehensive. The packaging is superb. It just goes to show that when a studio wants to do something right it can. Did it cost Sony a mint to do it? Probably. Was it worth it? Undeniably. And Sony has proven that patience as well as perseverance is a virtue. Fox please take the hint. No more Von Ryan Express or Marilyn Monroe screw ups - please!!!!
