The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you
want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Nearly $400 for that Godfather set and it doesn't include the Godfather Saga or the Godfather: A novel for TV ? Anyway a see a typo under the Nobody Walks picture.

WTH is that price for the Godfather set for real? Wow and the separate discs can be had for under $20 each. As Tony said, the *only* way I would spring for that is if it also had the entire Trilogy in chronological order with the added scenes fully restored to the level of the rest of the film.

Yow! What could possibly make the Godfather worth $400??? This is gift set madness. You can buy the movies alone for $40!

This is no way, shape or form explains the $400 price tag, but there is a shooting script, map and lithographs in that package, so retail should be around $60 in my mind.

For that price, they should have included the shooting scripts for all three films, at the VERY least.

Waiting for reviews on For a Good Time Call and End of Watch, but until I see those I will stick with The Quiet Man on Blu-ray this week. Thanks Mike!

Or at least include a stick horse so you could re-enact that scene....

I noticed the Godfather set was listed as an import at Amazon.com so I went to Amazon.co.uk and found it for £60.99....all regions. After VAT is removed and shipping added, it works out to £53.91 or $88.94. Or you can get the original 4-disc release without the box of junk for under $40 from Amazon.com.

Usually I get the Criterion review copies a week or two before they're issued, but I haven't gotten either of this week's releases yet, and with Monday a postal holiday, I don't see any reviews going up here until Tuesday and later. Was looking forward to seeing Criterion's first 3D release. Soon, I hope. Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

The Quiet Man for sure -- hopefully, BB will get it in (oh who am I kidding!?) in time for an Upgrade & Save discount? At any rate, at whatever cost, it shall be mine.

That Godfather thing is a joke, right? Seriously, WTF? Its contents don't exceed, or perhaps even meet, those of any other typical big box set in the $60-$90 MSRP range.
Forgive my ignorance, but who is the releasing studio "Ais"? (see Amazon listing)
At any rate, can't wait to see how this plays out.

For $400 I'd want my set hand delivered by Abe Vigoda plus an at my home presentation from RAH detailing his efforts on the restoration.

Nope. But either way, it would make the set worth it...
