The film was written and directed by Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford). KILLING THEM SOFTLY’s SRP is $39.99 for the BD+DVD+DC Combo Pack and $29.98 for the DVD. Pre-book date is February 27, 2013.

Saw this last weekend. I wish movies like this would come with a disclaimer: Caution. FOR QUIRKY PATRONS ONLY. The movie you are about to pay $14 to watch is very quirky. If you're not a fan of quirky movies (or you are, but feel like watching a regular movie at the moment), please choose a different movie. :)

Why did they change the name of only the second of George V. Higgins' terrific books to be made into a movie? I believe they would have received more interest if they left the name as Cogan's Trade.
