So I want to put a lil bit more sound in my bedroom. I want it to accompany a 23 inch older Sony lcd, in a cramped NYC apartment. A PS3 will be attached, and nothing else. I will only use it for movies and games. I would like something HDMI and not too big. Just a sound enhancement that will make life away from my big system not so bad. I would prefer something with a separate sub and the further from $200 the better! Thanks!

Do you want an actual soundbar, or something more like this... http://www.amazon.co...rds=onkyo hdx22 Sony(and I'm sure there are others) makes at least two soundbars around your price with HDMI, although...have no clue why you need it to have HDMI. Toslink connection is all you'd need. A $200 soundbar isn't going to process DTS HD/MA or Dolby True HD...so HDMI need not be present... Here is your Sony that has 3 HDMI in, one output... http://www.amazon.co...s=sony soundbar To get "lossless" you need the Onkyo above...or this... http://www.amazon.co...5&keywords=550w
