Looking forward to this one; should look great on blu-ray. Hope they use the 2.4:1 framing and not the IMAX ratio.

I saw it in 2.35 and then a week later in IMAX . They should release one disc with both or at least offer the IMAX option separately ...but we know that wont happen.

I saw this in IMAX only yesterday. While I enjoyed the picture immensely and might even rate it as the best Bond movie ever made, I didn't like the IMAX presentation at all. At times the cropping was terrible, like a pan-and-scan job on a giant TV. The whole thing looked a bit cramped. I snuck a look at the theatre next door and they were running it in 2.40:1 and I have to say that looked a lot better. Like a movie, in fact.

Well the "IMAX" version wasn't cropped, it was open matt. The Red camera they used had something like a 2:1 native AR. I like 2:1 so I wouldn't mind if they used that.

Well, there was something wrong with the scene in the National Gallery in front of that Turner painting (no relation). That's where it was especially noticeable.

Ron, FYI, the photo in your original post does not take you to the Amazon pre-order page -- it just pops up an enlarged photo of the cover.

The link is missing?

You mean to tell me, below the box art, you don't see an Amazon
box with the price inside that you can click on?

Here is the direct link, but I am concerned why I am sitting here

looking (and clicking) on it right now and some of you cannot.

No link appears in my browser. Only the cover art photo shows up in the post. I am using Firefox.

Interestingly, I disabled Adblock Plus and the link appeared. I re-enabled Adblock, and the link still appears. FYI, Adblock has never blocked the Amazon "buy now" links that have been in posts on this forum in the past.

Scott,

You mean to tell me this thread got turned upside down and I had to
contact outside support all because you are using an ad blocker?

Anybody else using an ad blocker?

As I said, Ron, this has never blocked one of your Amazon links in the past. I just tried disabling it on a whim to see if it made a difference. The link does appear differently than other links you have posted in the past, which may be part of the issue. I am sorry about the confusion, but I would think it would still be useful for you to know that this new link posting method is not going to show up with an ad blocker.

Using Chrome. AdBlock Plus is blocking the link, which on Chrome shows a miniature cover art image and brief product description with price (disabled to see if this was the issue). Curious.
