I currently have a Yamaha HTR-5840 that I'm using for my home theater. I bought a Yamaha YMC-500 that I want to use instead. The problem is the YMC-500 has no headphone jack and probably 70% of the time my wife and I watch movies with headphones. Can I use the YMC-500 and connect it somehow to the HTR-5840 so we can use it as "headphones only"? Thanks

The only thing you "could" do... Buy an external HDMI switch with a toslink... http://www.amazon.co...ds=hdmi toslink And run the toslink to the 5840... Overkill...but it is pretty much the only thing you can do. (however a simple HDMI-HDMI coupler with toslink "might" exist somewhere...???) And what you would end up doing...either way works... 1. Put that switch between your "sources" and the YMC 500... 2. Add that "after" the YMC 500 and before your display (although doing it this way may make you switch around settings in the YMC...option 1 won't require you to "make it work" then "make it not work")

That is a wall plate. Not anything you could possibly use.

Okay. Thanks for the help. I'll order the unit you suggested and try it that way.
