So my friend is interested in buying a projector for HDMI 1080p content such as a PS3 or Blu-Ray Player. He was concerned over the fact that on the technical specifications for the projector seen here http://www.amazon.co...ASIN=B005EV1R8Y It says "SVGA" 800x600. Obviously as stated the projector OUTPUTS in 1080p, but is it capable "true" 1920x1080p resolution? Obviously most games (at least, if not blu rays too) are upscaled to begin with, but one can infer there would still be a noticeable increase in picture quality from a projector whose SVGA was 1920x1080, although that's starting to sound like pretty serious stuff. From this very site we found help on the issue http://www.hometheat...200-1080p-image So we were wondering if, say, a projector whose SVGA was 1024x768 http://www.amazon.co...rd_i=1288710011 would produce a noticeable increase in picture quality, and far more important, would a TV shown in the same size have, in the end, just better resolution, or put another way, do most modern HDTVs have "true" 1920x1080 resolution. We're struggling with what that even means. Thanks, MrSaturn33

The first Viewsonic outputs 800x600. It accepts "up to 1080P input". The second one outputs 1024x768. It accepts "up to 1080P input"... If you want 1080P, quit looking at projectors meant for computers/conferencing.

Here you go... http://www.amazon.co...1080p projector How big of an image you looking for anyway? The only "competition" to projectors are DLP Mitsubishi in 73/82/92 inches. There are Sharp Aquos at 80 and 90 as well as a Samsung 75". But, if you can afford this... http://www.amazon.co...=75 inch led tv Why look at $400 projectors...
