Trying to plan the room layout of my first, true HT w/projector and screen. The room has spaces that I can eventually add an in-wall rack but for convenience I just want to put a stand alone rack in the back of the room. It would be on the opposite wall of the screen and to the right of seating so there would be not obstruction between the screen and the rack. With a remote pointed at the screen, can the screen reflect the IR signal to the components?

Maybe - but the distance may be too much for the remote since it will be double the distance - and reduced by the reflectivity of the screen.
I have a similar setup and used an IR repeater. A pickup sits on the subwoofer and a sender sits on the center speaker. Aiming anywhere near the screen sends the signal back towards the equipment.
