Just got an e-mail today from ebgames.com saying that my entire bundle shipped today. I paid for the 2 day shipping so I don't know if I'll get it Saturday or Monday.
Anyone else?
BTW, I actually won't be getting it until Christmas. It's being shipped to my mom's house, as I'm in college. It's my X-mas present and she firmly said that I cannot get into it any earlier. Grrr. That sucks ass!! But I can wait, impatiently! :)

So has mine, but ill be getting it tomorrow :) I am more excited for my X-Box today though. The only reason I got Gamecube was for Waverace. I loved that game on N64.
This could quite possible be the best two gaming days of my life and im getting up there at 26. I feel like a little kid again :)

With it due on the 18th (and some having imports already and some having the domestic US model now or shipping) this thread has now been deemed Official discussion thread for all things Gamecube, where owners can post full reviews of their brand new toy and others can put questions to the owners about Nintendo's new box of tricks.
Without warning, administrators have the right to close and/or delete subsequent threads related to Gamecube hardware in this section of the Home Theatre Forum. It is asked that members refrain from childish Nintendo and Gamecube bashing and let those happy with their purchase, and those considering the console, go about their business!
Thanks,
Dan (UK)

Here's hoping your systems arrive on time!
Really waiting to get more feedback about RS2. That's the only game that interests me from the GC's launch lineup.
I just got a XBox so the Cube will have to wait a little while.
These are indeed great times for gamers!
Everyone enjoy your new toys!

Boo!
My Bestbuy.com order remains dormant.

If it doesn't ship today, I'm just going to buy one locally on Sunday, and Best Buy can go pound sand...

I'm waiting until Sunday (I pre-ordered at EB). I can hardly wait. My time is so precious right now in regards to gaming. I have ICO, Tony Hawk 3 and Victorious Boxers all sitting at home not finished. Wow, I forgot MGS 2 should be coming anyday now. Too many good games=happy and broke gamers. :)

I'm going to pick one up on launch day, along with RSL. I live in a small town, so it shouldn't be hard to pick one up at my local Wal-Mart. They had PS2's in stock on launch day, but I decided to hold out until I saw what the competition looked like. They have plenty of X-Box's in stock at the moment as well. I am soooo tempted to buy some of them and sell them on E-Bay! Anyway, next week should be a fun week for me...new Gamecube, 2 day work week. Sweet.

I hate to say it, but i think I am digging the Xbox more than the GameCube.......which is opposite of what I thought I would be thinking. I like RS2, WR, and LM....but none of just give me the experience that the Xbox and Halo gave me last night. I still think if you have $250 in your pocket on Sunday you should buy a GameCube and RS2, but if you have $350.....might want to think Xbox and Halo. And trust me this is by no means me dissing the GCN I love my little indigo cube, but that beast of a black box with its green eye has put a smile on my face that I haven't had since my first blow job.

From what I read at Gamespot, one of the people there said he would prefer Perfect Dark over Halo (there were some things he said to back this up, so don't take this as him thinking the XB games suck or anything). While he said he liked both, he said that the regular game gets boring and monotonous and that the multiplayer is good if you can get a bunch of people (like 10+) hooked up to it.
From what I have played, I like the GCN more, but after playing XB a little more, I'm liking it more. The controller is better than I thought, but I still don't like the D-pad and face buttons. So I guess I'm warming up to it.
Back to topic, who here has a GCN and was it worth the money? Is yours domestic or foreign? Does RL have the problems on domestic consoles?

I would guess at the beginning that X-Box will win some over but ultimately the Cube will claim more fans once there is more software available.
I think Nintendo has once again dropped the ball by releasing too few games and not spending enough on advertising (Microsoft is spending 4 times as much on TV and print ads).
EB at Westlake Center is still holding firm on the Sunday date despite other stores in the mall selling the GC today (I should never have deposited the $440 for a preorder).
Can't wait for Perfect Dark Zero and the latest Turok!

Jeez! I can't stand it!
I've called everybody around here and no one is selling until Sunday.

What's with all this "We had permission from Nintendo to sell as soon as we received them" crap. If that were true, there should be at least a few other stores that would sell early!
I don't mind waiting till Sunday, but when I get it, I'm going to want to play it all day, and I have to go to WWF Survivor Series that night. Poor me!

UPS does it again!!!!!
ebgames.com actually upgraded the orders to Next Day Air and UPS just went and "rescheduled delivery" for the Monday the 19th after holding the packages since 1PM ???
How do they stay in business and can I get my shipping refunded?? This came about 10 hours after a "guaranteed by 10:30 AM" statement made to me when I called inquiring about having the package held at UPS for me.

I seriously doubt it. I used to work for Fedex and the loophole to their guranteed delivery is that only the shipper can request a refund. Even if UPS admits to a service failure ebgames would have get the refund and pass it on to you.

Even if they don't pass it on, I'd rather have ebgames get the cash for at least trying to do a good thing for their customers.
UPS certainly doesn't deserve the money. If they had any brains they would operate like FedEX and allow you to pick up the package that same day and/or reschedule cases like this for Saturday delivery.

Not only would they get the refund but they have to request it in writing. Customers like ebgames get massive discounts for bulk shipping so it probably wouldn't be worth their time to fill out paperwork over a few bucks.

They should let customers grateful for their attempted generosity do the work for them in an effort to spite UPS. Give it to charity or something, I don't care so long as UPS takes a hit for this. (4 overnight "reschedules" in 7 packages)

Update:
At 4AM, it is at the Airport less than 15 minutes away from me and on it's way to the distribution center 7 minutes away in the other direction, and it still won't be delivered until Monday.
I could probably live in an Airplane hanger or their center and they still would refuse delivery until Monday.
