Star Trek Phase Two -- New Voyages is the most amazing Star Trek I've seen since the original program wowed my childhood.

Star Trek Phase Two takes the scripts from the aborted mid-1970s series and realizes them with style and imagination. The goal is to recreate the original program and give Star Trek a fourth and fifth season. I know this amateur series is only supposed to exist in cyber space, but they are so dedicated, so resourceful, and their episodes are so well done, I'd love to see them on Blu-ray. Further, I think they do a better job than the pros.

I have a real dislike for Paramount's reboot but I respect and thoroughly enjoy what this amateur digital-theater company is doing. Episodes are on utube:

Who else would buy Star Trek Phase Two on Blu-ray?

I would buy them on blu, definitely. I have really enjoyed most of these productions. I have to admit the special effects in the very first ones were kind of sketchy, but have gotten much better. (I did laugh when The Enterprise would go to speed because it would kind of back up a bit and then lurch forward, kind of like the Roadrunner and Coyote or a Shuffle off to Buffalo). But the stories are good and it is impressive to see the dedication and passion these people have for Trek. The recreations of the sets are unbelievable.
