Hello all, After I heard about the Lawrence of Arabia blu-ray coming out on another site I discovered this great place to hang out and get educated. I've already spent many hours looking up favorite films on blu-ray and reading the discussions. The Robert Harris threads are especially great but I need to look around more and see what else is here. Cheers!

Thank you for the welcome. And I just received a private welcome from Ronald Epstein. Very classy. A bit about myself: I'm a writer, producer and editor of corporate, non-profit and documentary films based in the Washington DC area. My website is http://www.tdvideo.com My first film related job was working in the audio and editing departments of Calvin Productions in Kansas City MO. This was long after Robert Altman worked there but his legend loomed large. Besides a production company with several sound stages, Calvin also was a huge film lab and pioneered 16mm and 8mm film processing back in the mid-century. In the early 70s I learned and loved every thing there was about making films and treating their elements with respect. I spent many an hour mixing audio on those huge Magnasync dubbers, processing optical sound tracks and comforming A B rolls to create answer prints. I didn't know it then but "those were the days." Good to be here. I've been devouring the back discussions especially those by Robert Harris.

This is a great site, you'll truly enjoy being a member. The moderators are great and you won't come across the anonymous, incredibly rude postings or spam that other sites on the "internet" allow. I've been a member since the late 90s and always enjoy reading the posts, asking questions, whatever you need. Welcome and enjoy. This is probably one of the best sites on the web.
