"The Man in Grey" and "Wicked Lady" are probably the two greatest films in the Gainsborough library - certainly two of the most popular with wartime audiences, who lapped up this kind of lush, romantic, escapist entertainment. Now all we need is a great big Criterion release for "So Long at the Fair".

"When I get a little money, I buy movies.  If there is some left over I'll attend to utilities and groceries".
