The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.
I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp
. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!
Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks Mike. I'm interested in maybe Spider-Man 1/2 or Mission Impossible, but I'd have to really think about it since I just made an offer on a condo. Every penny is really counting now and the question is going to be "Do I Need This?"

(I did just order Game of Thrones and Superman vs. the Elite from Amazon using a gift card. And put some new Disney stuff on pre-order. Chances are at least some of it will be cancelled when the actual sale ads hit...)

Thanks Mike. Trying to really tone down my purchases, so I will be renting 21 Jump Street (don't judge me!) and the Artist. I now need to figure out how rental windows work!

Spiderman 1 is tempting. I have 2 and 3. I have to say that I'm not really that excited about the new one coming out. Congrats on the condo offer. Buying is a big step. Hopefully they accept and everything goes smoothly. Thankfully both my wife and I have good jobs with companies that are about as solid as you can get in this day and age, but we are starting to really try to buckle down and trim a lot of expenses. My contributions are going to be movies and eating out. I have too many $10-$20 BD titles I've only watched once, and far too many I haven't watched yet.

Hopefully, Mirror Mirror will arrive at some point this week so I can have a review up.

Thanks for the RoundUp.

I'll pick up The 39 Steps when it's on sale (presumably the Barnes And Noble one is coming up) but probably nothing immediate this week.
Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

I saw it in the theater and it was a much funnier movie than I had expected it to be. It's silly and dirty but I had fun with it.
The Artist is probably overhyped but it's a solid movie and easily worth a rental.

I've already pre-ordered The Artist from Amazon. Have to see what all the fuss was about...plus my wife has heard so much about Uggie's performance that this really had to be a release date purchase for us. Here he is with Bérénice Bejo:

And, I, too, will pick up The 39 Steps at a Criterion Sale down the road.

The Artist for me (I think it is a wonderful film and Bérénice Bejo is radiant in it) and I will also be picking up The 39 Steps though I may try to wait for a sale.

Thanks Adam. I'm really hoping this isn't going to be a nightmare and both the homeowner and bank are going to be easy to work with. It's going to be quite a year if this happens.

I happened into Barnes and Noble this morning. They have a Buy 2 Get 1 sale on DVD's, BD's and CD's. Just in case anyone's interested.

I'm not sure how long the new pricing will last, but for anyone who hasn't gottten it yet, it's worth noting that Amazon has reduced the price of Damages season 4 to $29.99, down from the $32.86 that it was when the grid was put together. I'm surprised to see this release getting such little promotion since it is the first time non-DirecTV subscribers can see the exceptionally strong new episodes that were produced for DirecTV last year. Even at the $29.99 pricepoint, this is a great season and I was pleased to add it to my collection yesterday.
