Good to get some confirmation these won't be Amazon-only. Making them available through other retailers will probably help with the pricing.

Strange-- I thought the first wave consisted of 35 titles. Where did the other 20 go?? I'm especially interested in Always Goodbye, and it's disappeared... hopefully, for the moment.

I think the Classicflix list included releases from multiple waves. The others will likely be released on August.

Let us Live Maureen O'Sullivan (David Copperfield) and Academy Award® winner Henry Fonda (1981, Best Actor, On Golden Pond) star in a compelling drama about two men accused of a crime they didn't commit, and the woman who is determined to see them cleared. When poor eyewitness testimony and circumstantial evidence pin a murder on Brick and his friend, Joe, Mary is determined to prove their innocence. She enlists Detective Lieutenant Everett (Ralph Bellamy, The Awful Truth) to help solve the crime and keep Brick and Joe from the electric chair. The Competition Academy Award® winner Richard Dreyfuss (1977, Best Actor, The Goodbye Girl) and Amy Irving (Carrie) are two classically trained concert pianists who find themselves both competing for one of the most prestigious awards in the music world. Also featuring Academy Award® nominee Lee Remick (1962, Best Actress, Days of Wine and Roses), THE COMPETITION is a delightful romantic comedy about two people who know how to perform on the world's biggest stage, but not when they are alone with each other. Returning to Italy, she becomes an administrator of an unconventional hospital where a Marxist patient, Annibale (Adriano Celentano, La Dolce Vita), seems to have the run of the place; counseling doctors, administering cures and romancing nurses. What follows is an unusual relationship between a nun who is trying to do what is right and a man who feels that he already is. In Italian with English subtitles. Newly remastered. Adriano Celentano; Sophia Loren; Fernando Rey

Hamlet (1969) Based on Academy Award®-winning director Tony Richardson's (1963, Tom Jones) theatrical production at the Roundhouse Theatre in London, this film is a powerful adaptation of William Shakespeare's epic tragedy. Eschewing the big-budget production values of other film versions, it instead focuses on great performances from Nicol Williamson (Excalibur, The Reckoning) as Prince Hamlet, Academy Award®-winner Anthony Hopkins (1991, Best Actor, The Silence of the Lambs) as the villainous Claudius and rock-and-roll singer Marianne Faithfull as Ophelia. The result is a HAMLET that is a compelling tribute to the Bard himself. Newly remastered. Anthony Hopkins; Gordon Jackson; Nicol Williamson

Also featuring Lisa Arrindell Anderson, Mykelti Williamson (Forrest Gump), Lonette McKee (Malcolm X), Richard Roundtree (Shaft), and Della Reese (TV's "Touched by an Angel"), HAVING OUR SAY is a warm, loving story about hope, strength and faith. Newly remastered.   Diahanne Carroll; Ruby Dee; Della Reese; Richard Roundtree

Band of the Hand Welcome to the jungle - Miami-style - where fast cars, dirty deals, hot women, and acid-washed jeans all come with the turf. Producer Michael Mann (Ali, The Insider) delivers an action-packed dose of high-octane fun in this infamous 1980s crime thriller, BAND OF THE HAND. Directed by Paul Michael Glaser (TV's "Starsky & Hutch"), the cast features awesome performances by future stars Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), Lauren Holly (What Women Want), Leon (Above the Rim), James Remar (TV's "Sex and the City"), and John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch). The killer retro soundtrack features the title track performed by Bob Dylan backed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. While serving time in a grueling rehab program in Florida's Everglades, five young felons form an unlikely bond. When they return to Miami's dangerous ghetto, the former criminals wage a lethal war on the drug kingpins who rule the underworld of murder and mayhem. BAND OF THE HAND goes for the jugular, never once loosening its grip until the heart-stopping climax! Newly remastered. John Cameron Mitchell; Michael Carmine; Stephen Lang; James Remar

Are we going to see correct aspect ratios on the (few) 'Scope titles? Fox has notoriously released some P/S versions of movies in Europe (eg. THE ADVENTURES OF HAAJI BABA). Classicflix cites the aspect ratio on FRAULEIN, shot in CinemaScope, as 'Full Frame'. I hope this is an error. THREE BRAVE MEN is only shown FF on the Fox Movie Channel. I hope they don't simply re-use this master. Mike

I certainly hope that Fox's MOD endeavor will eventually release the three Debbie Reynolds' gems that have remained in their vaults for too long: Say One for Me, The Second Time Around, and Goodbye Charlie. I don't know how well the prints of Say One for Me and Second Time Around have held up over the years, but Twilight Time recently attempted to sell Goodbye Charlie through their Limited Edition Blu-Ray collection, and unfortunately, the film elements did not provide a decent enough print for release. Long story short, I hope that these three films, each showing Reynolds' flair for comedy, music, and drama, make their way to DVD, showing, once again, that Reynolds' has more to offer than a cute face and impish on-screen shenanigans :) http://static.hometh...um.com/imgrepo/ http://static.hometh...um.com/imgrepo/ http://static.hometh...um.com/imgrepo/

I have the Fox DVD of Second Time Around from Spain. Though in its original 2.35 CinemaScope ratio, it's not anamorphic. But the transfer itself is very nice so that should not be a problem.

What an eccentric attitude! No interest in movies unless they were nominated? Some of the best movies ever made were not nominated.

Hopefully they will get around to releasing The Brasher Doubloon. Eddie Muller recorded a commentary for it almost 3 years ago. Doug

They don't always show correct OAR on the Fox Movie Channel either (The Best Things in Life Are Free has never seen shown in its Cinemascope ratio), so I'm not sure we'll see any improvement in this series. I hope so, but I'm skeptical.
