JUST SAY MOE.

The Hits Keep Coming… And Coming… And Coming As Larry, Moe and Curly Nyuk-Nyuk Their Way to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download July 17

The Farrelly Bros. (There’s Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber) bring back a beloved classic comedy act with THE THREE STOOGES, a contemporary take on America’s favorite trio of boneheads coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download July 17 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.  Sean Hayes (“Will & Grace”), Chris Diamantopoulos (“24”) and Will Sasso (“MADTV”) portray the troika of knuckleheads in three hysterical misadventures.

Left on the doorstep of an orphanage run by nuns, newborns Moe (Diamantopoulos), Larry (Hayes), and Curly (Sasso) grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuk-nyuking and woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Now, out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled with an oddball murder plot…while stumbling into starring roles in a phenomenally successful TV reality show.

The Three Stooges is fun for the whole family. With hilarious supporting performances from Larry David (“Seinfeld”), Jane Lynch (“Glee”), Sofia Vergara (“Modern Family”) and Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls), THE THREE STOOGES “Just Say Moe” edition Blu-ray is loaded with special features including a collection of entertaining and punchy pieces and a unique blend of classic “Stooge” elements in a contemporary setting.  Prebook is June 20.

I got to see this one when it was in the theaters in April. It was a very enjoyable experience, indeed! Absolutely perfect casting of the Stooges for this film, and my wife & I also both liked the storyline very much! It doesn't look as though the Public Domain perennial DISORDER IN THE COURT is included with this upcoming DVD/BluRay release as I know some had hoped it would. As this extremely hilarious Three Stooges classic short is quite readily available, I don't think that its exclusion here is a big deal, however. I personally thought this film should have performed better in the theaters, but am glad I had the big screen experience! Those who did show up clearly loved it, and showed it with much laughter! Hopefully, the video will sell well, as a sequel would be very welcome, indeed! So don't be a Knucklehead! Buy this film, Porcupine!! CHEERS!

Perhaps if I get a chance to see it for free, I might give it a try. Personally, if I want to see Stooges, then I see Stooges. That's why I purchased all the shorts collections. If I want to see a copy of Stooges, well....there are probably thousands of films that qualify and this is yet another one.

I wouldn't want to be in the Farrelly's shoes. It took them 15 years to get this project off the ground: false starts, the lack of a suitable (or good) script, actors coming on board then dropping out. Thank God Jim Carrey didn't end up in this. The end result was a spectacularly funny, very faithful homage to the old series with just the right actors portraying the characters - all for the film to quietly and quickly disappear. This was one theatrical experience I wish I could replicate every time I went to the movies. Can't wait to get this on Blu-ray! Nyuk nyuk nyuk...
