Hey guys, Im new to the forums and just need some help setting up some AV equipment. I just bought a Toshiba 55" 55G310U. I have a Bose Lifestyle 28 system and FIOS HD Settop box. I also want to hook up my Apple TV and PS3 to the system. I basically want to hear all sound through the Bose system. I have HDMI going from the AppleTV, Fios, and PS3 into the HDMI ports in the TV. Im able to get FIOS sound through the Bose by using RCA cables from the Fios box to the bose receiver. The TV has an optical out port, i plugged an optical cord from the tv out to the optical in on the bose and still no sound from the ps3 or apple tv. How do i get sound to play from the fios, apple tv and ps3 THROUGH the Bose system?

The TV has an optical out port

It's not a pass-through. It is used when you want to get Dolby Digital via your TV's internal tuner and an antenna for your local channels.

Connect them all directly to the Bose.
