Hello, I'm the happy owner of a Energy RC-Micro 5.0 system - 5.1 specs: http://reviews.cnet....html?tag=subnav But I'd like to buy a subwoofer, since i don't have the 5.1 but 5.0. I had the Yamaha YST-RSW300B in mind but perhaps there are interesting different subs that are worth thinking about. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Budget? Room size? Goals? How large of an enclosure can you live with? Subs range in size from shoebox to refrigerator.

Budget : 300-380$ Room size : 25m² goals : watching movies, listening music on a normal basis (i'm not a high end user) enclosure: not really bounded to restrictions. Lets say something like or smaller then 20x20x20 would be fine. Thanks for the quick response

You used square meters as room size. Where are you located? I don't want to suggest items that aren't available locally or internet companies that don't ship to your country. 20x20x20 Is that cm, mm, m, inches or feet? That said, the BIC F12 is a solid performer and below your budget.

Thanks. I'm sorry for the inconsistency. I'm located in Belgium. The enclosure size was expressed in inches.

That eliminates most, if not all of our usual internet direct companies. Dayton, SVS, Epik, Rythmik, eD, Hsu, etc. BIC should by world wide. Same with Klipsch. Velodyne may have something in your price range. After that, the best bargains are DIY.
