It is, and the word to me is that it looks absolutely spectacular.Stephen_J_H said:Here's hoping Magnificent Men is harvested from a 65mm element. Anything less would be criminal.
I've seen the new transfer - not on Blu but on the big screen at the Academy, and it looked really good.Richard V said:Bye, Bye Birdie for me is a sure buy.
I agree - I ran BBB via Sony's new DCP last year and it looked and sounded great.haineshisway said:I've seen the new transfer - not on Blu but on the big screen at the Academy, and it looked really good.Bye, Bye Birdie for me is a sure buy.
In NYC Magnificent Men played Roadshow at The DeMille Theater in 70mm. It was produced in TODD-AO. In NYC The Great Race played at the Radio City Music Hall as part of their show.Chas in CT said:Was it a roadshow film? I'd been trying to remember that about The Great Race, too, and couldn't recall.
They both were. MAGNIFICENT MEN looked fantastic in 70mm and THE GREAT RACE played in 70mm on the Cinerama screen (in London anyway).Chas in CT said:Was it a roadshow film? I'd been trying to remember that about The Great Race, too, and couldn't recall.
