From Timeless:
The great Jock Mahoney plays Yancy Derringer in this thrilling adventure series with a backdrop of New Orleans and the Mississippi River in the years following the Civil War.
The owner of a riverboat named the Sultana and a family plantation, The Waverly, Derringer is a Southern aristocrat seemingly devoted to gambling, but in reality he is a secret agent authorized to help maintain law and order and justice in the city by any means that may become necessary. His constant companion is Pahoo-Ka-Ta-Wah (X Brands), a fierce Pawnee Indian who communicates with Yancy only by hand gestures, and appears ready at a moment's notice to use the shotgun that he always carries. Yancy's weapons of choice are a four-barrel Derringer carried in his hat, another up his left sleeve and a knife in his belt. As Yancy and Pahoo make their way through the gambling casinos, riverboats and picturesque streets of New Orleans, they cross paths with rogues, aristocrats, sinners and saints, always ready to thwart crime and help the helpless!
The beautiful Madame Francine (Frances Bergen) is the proprietor of the Sazarac, a famous New Orleans private gambling house and is Yancy's love interest in the series.
Guest stars include Charles Bronson, Claude Akins, Lisa Lu, Lee Van Cleef, John Vivyan, Beverly Garland, Julie Adams, Robert McCord, Louise Fletcher, Woody Chambliss and Margaret Field. B&W

If that news is true, it will be another buy from Timeless, without a doubt, the BEST in vintage TV series

Great news! But I have a concern. Gary, is it too late to ask your source if they have all 34 episodes correctly identified and present? There was a 10 episode VHS release of Yancy Derringer, from a company that I believe was Timeless, under another name. It listed an episode with Beverly Garland, as a pirate called, "The Fair Freebooter". (Garland appeared twice on Yancy Derringer as that character.) But the actual episode on the tape was one called, "A Game of Chance". A couple of years ago I bought a bootleg set of Yancy and "A Game of Chance was on it twice, but no "Fair Freebooter". The bootleg set actually used two different prints of "Game of Chance", the one from the VHS set, which the menu said was "The Fair Freebooter", and one from a different 16mm print.
TV Trivia: What other classic TV hero had a ship called the, SULTANA?

Yes, I would definitely go for this one as well. After seeing Jock Mahoney in Tarzan, I came across most of the Range Rider episodes and really enjoyed them. Even more then the Lone Ranger and Gene Autry shows that were done around the same time and in the same style.

You might want to know this, Sultana was the name of a Riverboat that plied the Mississippi River in the 1860s. On April 27, 1865 this Riverboat EXPLODED off Memphis, Tennessee, Killing almost 1600 People, mostly US Soldiers released from Prisons in the Confederacy after they surrendered at the end of the Civil War.

Never heard of this but count this in as a want. Has Timeless been doing any comedies?

I think they have released some Red Skelton, Burns and Allen, Date with the Angels, and Jack Benny.

I remember this series well, and I never expected to see it released on DVD so it will be a welcome addition to my collection.

The release date is Tuesday. Deep Discount says that my set was shipped the other day, so it may arrive sometime during the week.
