hello all. I'm replacing my Mitsubishi LT-52133 because of LCD issues which are getting worse as you can see by the pics. I'm told it's stupid to attempt a repair because the screen would cost equivalent to a new tv. I'm not really looking to spend big bucks but also don't want a cheap outdated one either. so far i have my eye on 2 but am in the beginning stages of looking .. Sony KDL55HX729 & Samsung UN55D7900 .. what other similar tvs are available or even more recently released products which are similar? ..

Hi Are you set on LCD / LED? Most reference displays are plasma.
