I've been waiting for a good deal on a couple different soundbar/subwoofer models--a Sony or a Panasonic. LG just released this new model for $100 dollars less than what I have been looking at. The specs for this new unit look pretty good on paper (apart from lack of HDMI support). I know LG makes good displays; any impressions on the quality of their audio components?

I haven't used any of their audio gear.  Whats the model number?  Unless it has both types of digital inputs I'm not wild about the lack of HDMI inputs.

Model NB3520A (see thread title). It has two optical audio inputs and one USB port. Yeah--the more I compare the more I'm starting to reconsider the Panasonic SC-HTB520 or the Sony HTCT550W. Thanks, Adam.

I got this sound bar with my LG LED TV. They said it is free with the purchase of this TV from Best Buy. The TV is great, the sound bar is the worst. At max. volume the bar is barely useful. Some of the Blue Ray 3D disc audio are at times are very difficult to hear. This sound bar is rated at 300 watts. Sounds more like a 50 watt unit. Plan on taking it back and exchange it for a better sound bar or get a a/v receiver that can truely get the sound quality that I will be happy with.

The Bluetooth works really well with the LG sound bar. I really don't miss the HDMI.
