The Hopper is exactly what I want as a current Dish Network customer. It's supposed to be available around March 15th, and they haven't announced pricing yet. As a long time customer, my hope is they don't rape their current customers to upgrade. That's why I left DirectTV several years ago. I realize they want to get new customers in, but to abuse current customers with huge upgrade costs, when you can upgrade with cable tv to newer equipment at nearly any time at no charge. I have been told Satellite providers no longer really blast long time customers out of contract with big upgrade costs. I realize I might need to re-sign a contract, and that's fine. http://www.dish.com/technology/hopper/
