That's a pretty general question, watch movies from where? If you're watching streamed or downloaded content an HTPC is unnecessary these days. A $75 WD TV Live or equivalent box will work just fine. It may not be as fast or as slick as a HTPC running XBMC or WMC but it'll get the job done. If you want to use it for me please elaborate.
