No kidding, folks.  This is one of the best TV shows I
have ever seen.  There are so many people being turned

on to Breaking Bad just by word-of-mouth.

Give the first few episodes a try and see for yourself.

Yeah, it's the best TV show that's still being made. I love Mad Men, Parks And Recreation and Treme but they aren't Breaking Bad. The first season was good but by the second season, it's one of the best shows ever on TV.

Yeah, BB is a great great show, just finished S1 and even the start of episode 1 starts off great and hooks you real quick. I have to try and go through episodes slowly because I can watch 3-4 episodes easy. Great premise with a great lead actor and odds are you will have a hit. Walt's brother-in-law is hillarious, guy is perfectly cast for law inforcement.
I have seen Larry David in action, and that man is an animal, and he has to be stopped.

I was planning to rewatch the series, leading up to the start of the final season. Looks like AMC had the same idea as well. Posted Image

Is the final season to be two half seasons spread out over who years?

From what they've said, the airing of the last season will be split into a group of 9 episodes and a group of 7 episodes. They haven't said when the episodes will air or how long the gap between them will be. I'm hoping that AMC does it the way that they're handling The Walking Dead and having a 2 to 3 month break rather than the ridiculously huge breaks that shows like Battlestar Galactica or Futurama have.

It's kind of crazy that they're doing it one night a week. Wasn't it every night last time they ran them all? I'm enjoying it, but it's going to take a long time to air them this way. In fact, if my maths are right, nearly a year. Looking at it that way, I guess they're just giving a taste in the hopes we'll need our own fix when they cut us off. If this aired on AMC originally, as I know it did, why are all the profanities censored in these reruns?

I think there's a good chance that your "just a taste" theory will happen but they might start running two episodes a week or maybe S4 will have a nightly marathon when it gets closer to the new episodes (presumably the summer).

If this aired on AMC originally, as I know it did, why are all the profanities censored in these reruns?

The profanity has always been censored. After the first season, AMC made them cut down on the amount of profanity even when it's deleted. According to one of the commentaries, they're now allowed to say 'fuck' once a season and 'shit' three times an episode. I guess AMC feels that those words aren't offensive to people if you only use them with that frequency. :)

Having just watched the Pilot again (first time since the day of the premiere), I was surprised to hear Walt say "fuck you" three times when he quits his job at the car wash, right before he made that obscene gesture.

It's uncensored on the Blus, right? I saw the second set for $30 tonight. I'll probably finish season one on AMC and then buy that. Good thing it's on Blu, as I dislike buying HD shows on DVD.

Unless I'm going deaf or crazy, 'fuck' is still censored on the Blu-rays and presumably the DVDs too. The deletions aren't as noticable as they were on TV but it sounds like they drop the audio on part of the word. In other words, you can hear 'f' and 'k' but the 'uc' are muted. The only reason I can figure for that is that Sony wants to maintain the TV rating for video as well.

It's definitely uncensored on the DVDs, at least for the first 3 episodes I've seen already so far. Not only the cursing, but even that nude scene in the Pilot.

I should have checked before saying that because it's beeen awhile since I watched the first season. I'll take a look at S1 again but if it's not cut on the DVD, it's not cut on the Blu-ray either. That being said, do you have S2? In the episode Peekaboo, I know that the scene where Walt is talking to (S2 spoiler)
Spoiler
is cut on the Blu-ray. Once again, it's very slight (maybe even so slight that you might miss that it's cut) but it is cut.

^^^ I don't have S2 yet, and plan to get it as soon as I finish watching S1. But I do remember that scene you mentioned, and being surprised the way it was cut when watching it on AMC. Hopefully, I'll remember to look for it when I get to that episode on DVD.

Pretty messed up on AMC's part. They played all of the first season's episodes but the finale, and it is nowhere on the schedule. Pretty clever to use dealer methods of doling out just enough to hook a user, and then saying, "Pony up if you want more, junkie."

I can't give you an exact date, but within a week or so, AMC will be rerunning this. They will at the very least get all of seasons one and two and into three. I didn't follow the schedule to see if we'll get the full show. It looks like it's Monday, June 11, two a night as far as my DVR shows.
