So, for those who have missed out on the melodrama: Cooper finds out he had a kid for a woman who ran away and has hid his child from him for 10 years (wait, isn't that already happening on another show.. Parenthood?) Our resident loose cannon is now on a binge drinking & drugging spree. We learn that not only was Charlotte raped last year in a horrific episode, she apparently killed a woman a few years ago in a drunk driving accident, and was beaten by someone who cared for her years ago (on top of her did he or didn't he abusive father storyline).   How many personal bugbears can they put in that girls past? Addison may be about to get pregnant, after being told repeatedly not possible, suddenly like easter, she miraculously has eggs (though she's been told in multiple seasons she couldn't carry and her harvest rate was impossible) Easily the soapiest primetime on the air ATM

I get the feeling the writers just crib from telenovelas from Univision for their story points.
