I'll try to tell myself that this points towards the possibility of a release on DVD or Blu-ray. Of course, that hasn't been true the other times that it's aired on TCM so it probably won't happen now but I'll keep hope alive.

I used to tell myself the same thing when I saw TERRORVISION aired, a whole TWO times, and that was a couple of years ago. Here we are, 2012, and still NO DVD of that one.

For the few of us left with regular 4:3 televisions, TCM shows almost everything letterboxed. I plan on switching to HD later this summer, but it's nice to have channels that show things in OAR. Flat movies aren't to bad, but a cropped, pan and scan cinemascope film is impossible to watch. I've really been in the mood for the old Godzilla/Mothra type films the past few months. Glad they're coming back in few months. Haven't seen them since my early pre-teen years, looking forward to the cheesy special effects and bad dialogue, always loved it.

Just a heads up for anyone interested in a new Peter O'Toole interview and retrospective -- 11:30 pm Eastern.   (They're showing Lion in Winter now, and Lawrence at 12:30 am.)

I've watched the first half of the interview, and it's very entertaining. However, with only 22 minutes left, they're only up to Becket, so it's obvious a lot is going to be left out.

This is a thread that needs to have more discussion. I watch TCM-HD quite a bit, trying to see movies that I haven't seen before. I'm currently watching Seance on a Wet Afternoon, from an earlier DVR recording. Today Aug 4th, they are showing Marilyn Monroe films.

Loved these films as a kid. We had a local channel that ran what they called the "Saturday Night Creature Feature" with movies like this. Thanks for the info. I often overlook TCM and find out about things like this after they've been run.

Regarding London after Midnight- The Still Reconstruction. Taken from IMDB. As of October 20, 2007, "London After Midnight" is a lost film - there is no known surviving footage. Hopefully, a print or portion will be discovered. Until then, TCM's 2002 reconstruction, by Rick Schmidlin, will have to suffice - it was created by referencing the original script and utilizing movie photograph stills. Robert Israel provided a representative musical score.
