Mike- Thanks as always for putting in the hours to post the roundup. I appreciate it not just in my official HTF role, but in my role as a consumer too. I know it my seem like a thankless job sometimes, so I just wanted to take a few moments to say THANK YOU.

I managed to get an early copy of Jurassic Park and I watched a few scenes yesterday and am looking forward to watching the whole thing tomorrow. So far so good. I just got notification that Tom and Jerry shipped from Amazon and I'm waiting for Neil's Captain America review to post to decide if I want to pick that up and if it will be the 2D or 3D version.

Frys had the Jurassic park set up online-only for 34.99 but it came off the sitE the next day so just as a heads up keep an eye on it in case it comes back again. Also the steel case at Bestbuy reportedly has flipper discs inside so buyer be-aware. I'd love to get that Barney Miller set but just can't right now so on the wish list it goes.

Echoing Adam's thanks, Mike. These roundups are always appreciated. Always enjoy the posters and stills you find to illustrate some of each week's offerings.

I'll have the review for Dazed and Confused up later today and likely Wrong Turn 4 up tomorrow niight.

I'll pick up the Jurassic Park set on sale when it goes on sale around the holidays. And like the cheapskate I am, I'll get Dazed And Confused during that upcoming Barnes And Noble Criterion sale. Captain America is a fun movie and well worth a rental. Thanks for the prices! :)

I am SO all over the Laurel and Hardy set...despite the website malfunction that prevents me from seeing a pic of them in the opening post!

Captain America is certainly on the radar, though I'm not sure now or a little later in the year when it drops to $15. And, thanks to Doug, I may be ordering Jurassic Park at Fry's. That's a hard deal for me to pass up. Thanks Mike (oh, and Doug for pointing out JP at Fry's)!

TINKER, TAILOR is something I seriously want to get into one of these days, but that will have to wait a little bit. Likewise the LAUREL & HARDY. More critical for me would be THE CONVERSATION, providing the reviews of the Blu-ray pass muster, and ISLAND OF LOST SOULS -- which will wait till B&N's sale next month, at which time there are several Criterions I absolutely must have. While I enjoy the JURASSIC PARK films, I've never been a fanatic so I'll pass on that while enjoying the controversy over the transfers from a safe distance.

Working on it now. You won't be disappointed in the film and the 3D is superior to that of Thor. I need to finish up writing my full thoughts on it all but should be up in a few hours...

Just be careful. They are also advertising the DVD set for about the same price.

I'm also all over the Laurel and Hardy set. My Costco says they will be carrying this for $62.99 (little cheaper than Amazon, but sales tax will make the two a wash).

It was a bit disheartening though that two of the Costco employees that I spoke with never heard of L&H and thought I was referencing a TV show. The person at Sam's Club (who couldn't tell me if they were carrying or not) at least thought that they were comedians from the 50s. Wrong decade but the right idea.

The "Shaolin" Blu-ray also comes out on October 25th. Amazon currently has it for $20.49.

Oh, I almost forgot about Mike's "pretty woman" protocol. But being the movie is about monks and soldiers, there's not a lot of options there.

BestBuy.com has lowered the Captain America 3D price to $24.99. You could order tomorrow with instore pickup or just have them pm bb.com. Never had a problem with Best Buy pricematching bb.com
