It was pretty good but, in what alternate universe does everyone convicted at the same time get out on the same day? Totally ridiculous. Unless that was some crazy part of a plea deal that no prosecutor would ever go along with. And if so should've been mentioned, unless I missed it. "Yes we would all like to be released on the same day so that we may resume our criminal legitimate business together."

Interesting premiere, as I am glad to be riding in this world all alone, to kick off the fall season! Posted Image

And very brutal in the end there, especially that one with Otto. And interesting song selection, as the wedding being an illusion of people having a great time together, but underneath it all, well... you know. Posted Image

I wondered how the undercover agent would play into it, but that problem has been taken care of, without the Sons even realizing it.

It will take some getting used to seeing Jax with short hair.

Thought the same thing. No way would they let a gang of vicious Bikers out all at the same time. Other than that good first episode

I am a new visitor to Charming - wife and I just watched the first three seasons in the last 2 months or so.  I freaking love this show.  As to the simultaneous release of all The Sons at once...well I suppose that if that is the one thing about this show that is a stretch for you to believe....then you're doing okay!

The dumping of the bodies of the Russians so close to the new development seems like a pretty dumb move to me...especially since one of them was an undercover federal agent....

I saw that scene as breaking the 4th wall, as their way of saying to the audience "SAMCRO is back!" Posted Image

OK, I'm hoping that something changes in the coming episodes. This show used to feel like it was only 10 minutes long. Last night I kept looking at the clock wondering when it was going to be over. Maybe I'm getting bored with it.

We see the clubhouse get destroyed, which is probably fitting, with the various divisions that are starting to come out within the club.

I also came away from the episode, thinking... Tara is dead woman walking!

Have to agree with Mark - probably the slowest episode of SOA to date, but I think that they are setting the stage for some intensity to come.  Getting in bed with the Cartel is sure to haunt SAMCRO later on....

No way Tara gets it. Yeah, if the cartel thing looked bad before, it should look terrible now. It may be nice when the badasses are pointing guns at Russians pointing them at you. But they are just as likely to point them at you and pull the trigger when you try and back out. So that vote is irrelevant now. SAMCRO is in bed with the cartel. No going back there. Interesting that both Clay and Jacks are (stupidly) using the cartel deal for their own ends...and they both know it. The President and VP are in on it...who is taking care of the club? And Tara will be fine. She is the smartest one in the room.

The other thing that surprised me about that, is that they told each other right away, rather than try to hide and beat around the bush. I would have thought that would not happen until at least, the middle of the season. Looks like the bigger issue will be when everyone else finding out, and who will end up paying for it dearly.

With Tara, I just feel that way, after Clay asking about her, and Gemma breaking into her office to dig through the files. A possible repeat of killing Donna.

A real world reason for Tara not getting killed is that there's no way that the network will let them kill off the only young female in the cast.

I hope they keep Tara around for the long haul. I love her character; she's a real "light" in a world of darkness. Since she's a doctor, the show has a built-in handy way of getting bullet and knife wounds "repaired" without police investigation. She's also beautiful...
When she embraces, your heart turns to stone
She comes at night, when you're all alone
And when she whispers, your blood shall run cold
You'd better hide before she finds you...

Two different shows and Tara's. One where many viewers are hoping Tara is really dead, and SOA viewers hoping nothing bad happens to Tara.

The Donna angle is a fascinating one. No doubt that possibility will rear it's ugly head, and the reactions of the main characters will be fascinating. Clay is capable of anything, but is Gemma? She is a family first person, but it would take a monstrous level of selfishness to kill the wife of your only son, and the mother/stepmother of your grandsons. Gemma is cold and calculating, and she would do a lot to ensure Jacks loves her (she is selfish about that, for certain), including keeping him in the dark. So, as I said, interesting stuff. I think Tara makes it for a while because, as Don points out, she is the light in the show. She represents the "out" for the lead character. If you remove her, now you need to deal with Jacks' kids and the fact that there is no leavening influence on his character. I can't understand why many viewers just want her gone. I guess for the simplicity of a bad, biker show. But that doesn't really jibe with the show Sutter is running. That said, the show is very loosely based on Hamlet, and while Tara is no Ophelia, the writers may feel the need to put Jacks all the way out there (at some point). They can't do that with Tara around. I think SOA has leeway with the network - it's one of FX's signature shows. BREAK The real issue, my real dramatic beef, is the casual voting of the cartel association. I assume the Sons are fairly accomplished outlaws. I'm sort of pulled out of the show when the only characters who realize that any cartel association is for life (one way or the other) are Bobby and Gemma (Piney just doesn't want to do it). They can't think that is a temporary alliance they can sever at some point in the future. I mean, they can, but it isn't believable. I'm a random idiot, and even I know that the cartel would kill them before letting them walk. But I can tolerate that for the dramatic needs of the show, I suppose.

Was the guy up to his neck in ants someone we've seen before? Or was that random tribe business that Clay and Bobby walked in on? I understand Clay killed him because he overheard them talking about the terms of the ammo deal. So it was probably just random tribe business.
