Just like its fun to know which films had a huge impact and influence on starting any director's career,i think it would definitely be fascinating to know if any specific event, film or studies that could've contributed in your life's work. I could've looked it up (if available at all ) but i thought, let's just ask the man.

Lawrence of Arabia.  Napoleon.

And then realizing that Lawrence no longer existed in the form that won Best Picture.

RAH

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did." T.E. Lawrence

Best answer in a 1000 years.I'll be beaming all week. I really though something would have made an impact before Lawrence. Did you happen to watch the Letterman appearance clips i posted in the Lawrence thread. Those 2 clips are amazing.
