I'm just hoping they can work "You sank my battleship!" into the movie.

Please, please, please leave Rianna's footage on the editing room floor. She is very unpleasant to look at.

I think the studios have finally run out of movies to remake. Moving on to board games seems like the next logical step. I'd love to see a movie based on Connect Four, one of my childhood favorites. (Just kidding - this is an awful idea and I certainly hope it's not the next 'big thing').

I heard the next horror flick is going to be "Mouse Trap". :) I will watch this but not until it hits bluray.

Call me crazy but I think making board games into a SNL-style sketch could actually be funny if only because it's so silly. Look at Greg's taglines, those ideas could work in short bursts. For some reason, I find the hippo to be a funny looking animal so if they were running around eating people (in a comedy), I would pay $12 to see that as a movie.

When I was a kid the Cooties toys always reminded me of the bugs in The Outer Limits episode "The Zanti Misfits", and they creeped me right the hell out.

Robot Chicken was way ahead of the curve on this trend. ;)

My BIL wants to go see this tonight so it would appear I "will" be seeing it in the theater.  I'm really hoping it's not as bad as a lot of the critics are saying it is.   I'm hoping it will be much better than Skyline and about the same as Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Wow. Umm ok then. Yes I Lazily shortened Brother-in-Law. Just got back from seeing it and it very much reminded me of Armageddon with a little Transformers mixed in. The dialogue was kind of cheesy at times and I really didn't feel anything for the characters. But I actually did enjoy it. It certainly wasn't better than the Avengers but was definitely a better movie than Skyline. I don't see this one making to much money based on the fact that our theater was practically empty.

Similar to the Robot Chicken thing above...but more in line with what Hollywood would probably do with it...I give you a potential look at what is next in scraping the board game barrel for movie ideas. LOL! http://static.hometh...um.com/imgrepo/

I've never camped out for a movie in my life but I'd do it for that movie.

Believe it or not, I was rather entertained by "Battleship". They did a good job building up Taylor Kitsche's character (somewhat street smart slacker who gets a second wind in the Navy, only to have his stubbornness threatening to sink his own Navy career until the aliens show up and he has to lead and show his grit). This is very much like a Michael Bay summer blockbuster, but with heart and an outlook that everyone can make a difference, regardless of perceived limitations. All I can say, even with the trappings of the Battleship game (the aliens' artillery looking like Battleship pegs), and later the game grid comes into play rather nearly, it was a fun movie to root for the humans in spite of overwhelming odds and firepower. I give it 3 stars, or a grade of B.
