Very much looking forward to this. If I'm not mistaken this film should be the last of the great 80's teen sex comedies to make it to DVD.

RIP Roberto Gomez Bolanos.

Very much looking forward to Where the Boys Are (1984) as well. Was Lisa Hartman still on Knots Landing at the time this film was shot?

If the theatrical trailer is the same as the one included in the Scorpion Releasing trailer montage on some of their previous titles, it will be a VHS release trailer in fullscreen ratio.

Would love there to have been interviews with Lisa Hartman and Lynn-Holly Johnson for this release, but never mind. At least the DVD release is coming up soon.

Richard, if you want a glimpse of Lynn-Holly to see she looks like today check out the For Your Eyes Only special features - she gives a fairly recent interview on the DVD. She still looks hot!

RIP Roberto Gomez Bolanos.

Richard: Lisa Hartman played singer “Ciji Dunne” on “Knots Landing” from 1982 to early 1983 when the character was killed off. She shot “Where the Boys Are ‘84” in the early summer of 1983. She returned to “Knotts Landing” in the fall of 1983 as singer “Cathy Geary Rush” and stayed on the series until 1986. Hartman covered the classic “Where the Boys Are” title song over the remake’s closing credits. Her track was included on the soundtrack LP and was released as a picture-sleeve single. She lip-synced the song on “Solid Gold.”

Hartman got her “Where the Boys Are” role as a consolation prize from Allan Carr after narrowly losing the lead in the producer’s “Grease 2.”

Will get round eventually to watching the special features on the Bond UE DVDs.

Although filming on For Your Eyes Only started more than 30 years ago, it's now been 30 years since it was released in cinemas (starting in June 1981 in the UK and US).

Thanks for your reply. So based on that, Lisa Hartman filmed Where the Boys Are (1984) inbetween her two stints on Knots. She was one of the best things about the show at that time in it's run.

Checked on Amazon.com in the last couple of weeks to see if the Where the Boys Are soundtrack is available on CD. Sadly, just the LP version is available. The track 'Where the Boys Are' is a bonus track on the re-released CD Lisa Hartman album Letterock.

Ten of the movie’s 15 songs were on the soundtrack LP from RCA. It was never released on CD, but you can find the tracks online. At the time of the film's release, Lorna Luft recorded a disco version of the title song (with Village People cowboy Randy Jones) that didn’t appear in the movie but was released as a 12-inch from Epic in the U.K. You can hear it on youtube.

And the Lorna Luft song is on one of those Disco compilation CD's, suprised when I saw it (bought the CD for another song, and when I saw it on one of the tracks, I was like, "when did this happened"?!)
