Thanks. This one is definitely worthy of a place in my collection. Can't say the same for most of today's movies.

RIP Roberto Gomez Bolanos.

Just watched my copy tonight. It's a dark transfer -- darker than I remember in theaters -- and there's a bit of black crush to the picture. But all in all, an excellent transfer for an excellent movie.

Interesting.  I thought the black levels were accurate (at least as accurate as my memory allows), but I thought the overall detail was a tad lacking.  Don't get me wrong, this didn't appear to be a DNR fiasco, and the grain structure seemed intact.  I just thought the transfer could have had a little bit more detail to it.

The soundtrack was stellar, though.  Actually one of the better dialogue-centric tracks I've heard.  At no point was I struggling to hear dialogue (other than the bathroom speech scene, which was clearly intended), and the music was perfectly-balanced so as to never overpower.

A solid release, and it will definitely get a yearly re-watch from me.
