Any news about Universal releasing their version on DVD/Blu-ray of Prisoner of Zenda or the original non-desaturated color version of the 1979 Dracula ?
Don't think you'll see Dracula the way it was seen in 1979 on Blu-ray, unless John Badham can swallow his ego and get off the revisionist kick that William Friedkin was in when he screwed with THE FRENCH CONNECTION or that Vittorio Storaro was in with a bunch of his films or some guy with the initials G.L. has (or will soon have) bestowed upon his with nearly all of his films. It's becoming epidemic. Sure, they can do what they want, but is there anyone -- I mean anyone -- out there among us fans and consumers who thinks any of these versions is an improvement on the original? Oh well, politicians never listen to us, either.
