It's reasonable to assume a North American release will follow.

I've been waiting for this one ever since the HD-DVD days. I hope they keep the commentary from the DVD. One of the funniest ever. "I got laid a lot in dis movie"

With the Lionsgate release due in theaters

shortly we can almost be certain that Universal

does a tie-in with that release.

I would definately buy this on Blu-ray.

It will be interesting to see if they were able to find, or recontruct, the original audio stems.

When this was release on DVD they were only able to supply a mono track.

Didn't the original tapes for much of Poledouris' score suffer oxide failure and disintegrate?

The European DVD releases have the music in true stereo.

Only for the parts that have stereo elements that did not decay. A good chunk of it is reprocessed mono.
