In some ways, yes. Microsoft actually has a pretty good track record on the hardware front. XBOX, etc.. and even when I'm workng on a Mac, there are very few things I demand outside of a MS Keyboard/Mouse, which still has one of the best feelings in the hand of anything I've ever used. (Yes, I know the multi-touch mouse is cool, but it doesn't feel good in my hand after a while, I prefer a high arching mouse and an ergonomic keyboard to hammer away at). I think you'll see the Nokia products all within the same range as others, I think "low end" may seem wrong as they will at least meet the minimum specs. Nokia brings to the table serious hardware manufacturing and the largest shipping base of anyone in the industry with a global reach no one else has, even though it has been hurting US stateside. We'll have to see how this works out. There are lots of things I have to shake my fist at MS about (their destruction of WHS with a god-awful Vs.2, which wrecks the product; their mis-management of 7MC, etc.) but this for them is probably the best deal they could hope for. I don't know how well it works out for Nokia, but it's a brilliant move for MS.
