I did a firmware update the other day. Now recently I have a problem getting the disc to start. My display reads "U73" . Is this some type of code? The player was working fine before the update. I didn't do a firmware update for a year or so, I thought I might be missing something. I guess I should have left well enough alone. Any advice??

In the troubleshooting pages of your manual, it should tell you the codes, and what they mean. If not, contact Panasonic.

Here's what the manual has to say about the ol' U73 code:

The HDMI connection acts unusually.
– The connected equipment is not HDMI compatible.
– Please use HDMI cables that have the HDMI logo (as shown on the cover).
– The HDMI cable is damaged.

You might try disconnecting/reconnecting the HDMI cable from the player and seeing if things right themselves.

Good luck!
